I couldn't agree more. You owe it to yourself to work on letting go but not necessarily to forgive. It is, as you say, overrated. Not forgiving does not equal unprocessed. Not forgiving means having accepted that it is time to heal oneself and not spend another minute putting that energy towards the person who injured us.
