This is such an interesting topic, Adrian. Why is it that we somehow cannot imagine a person being greatly flawed AND also being a good artist? Why do we think that because a person can write music, paint, run across a football field, preach, govern — well, then he has to be a good individual? I cannot understand our willingness to look the other way in order to preserve our own image of what we want that person to be like. Thank you for a very interesting and thought-provoking piece.
